Highlands High School and all of the Ft. Thomas schools are a very special place to learn and develop life-long skills. Highlands is a top-performing school in the Commonwealth and has been named by the U.S. Department of Education as a Blue Ribbon School. Highlands is also one of sixteen high schools in the nation to receive the High Schools That Work Gold Award, and one of eight high schools in Kentucky to receive the Silver Award issued by U.S. News and World Report. Highlands also continues to be ranked by Newsweek as a top 400 high school in the country. From academics to athletics Highlands has been a trendsetter in everything it does. All of this would not be possible without hard working kids, excellent parental support, a staff and faculty that go the extra mile to educate and guide students, and the support of organizations like the Alumni Association, PTO, Fort Thomas Education Foundation, Athletic Boosters and many other active local organizations.
I would like to welcome everyone to the Highlands High School Alumni Association's new website. Recently, the Alumni Association has re-organized and re-developed how it does business. Our board's primary goals are to be as transparent as possible, offer a variety of services to our alumni, and give financial assistance to Highlands High School and its students. I would like to encourage you to explore the website and pay special attention to our new Alumni Association membership opportunities. I would also like to encourage you to get involved with the Alumni Association. Whether you contribute financially to the Association, take a leadership role as a board member, or become an active member, there are many ways to get involved and give back.
