Class of 1958 Reunion

HIGHLANDS CLASS OF 1958 plans for 50th reunion on weekend of September 12-14th

The HHS Class of 1958 is having its 50th year Class Reunion on Saturday September 13th at THE CARNEGIE EVENT CENTER at 6PM
The WEEKEND begins with a party on Friday at 7PM at the home of Don & Nancy McEntire, 26Willow Drive(Grand Ave. to Summit to Willow)
On SATURDAY morning 10:00AM there will be a tour of the newly renovated -HHS.
Noon is LUNCH on your own-possibly DIXIE CHILI.
A GOLF SCRAMBLE is scheduled for the afternoon.
At 6PM   COCKTAILS and DINNER at the CARNEGIE EVENT CENTER (The old Newport Library(4th and Monmouth Sts)
The Class Picture is scheduled for 7PM.
On Sunday 12:00 Noon a lunch is scheduled at the RIVER HOME of Bonnie and Charlie Hoffmann (13563 Ryle Rd. Union,Ky.) Driving and parking of guests will be arranged on Saturday evening.

The COST of the REUNION will be $130 per couple or $65 per person. This includes Dinner, Wine,Beer,Soft Drinks, Memory Book, Class Picture and Friday Night  at McEntires
Blocks of rooms have been set aside at Comfort Suites-Riverfront, Country Inn and Suites (Wilder), and Holiday Inn Express (Bellevue)

We have developed a flyer that will give you a lot of helpful information and best of all it's free. Simply click on the link below and download a copy of the flyer that you can print out and use.

Highlands High School Reunion Guide

As previously mentioned  in the newsletter and on this website, the Alumni Association is beginning a career mentoring program in cooperation with Highlands High School. we would like to establish a resource that students could go to that will help them make more informed career decisions. With that in mind we are developing a list of alumni that have volunteered to conference with Highlands' students about specific careers.

Any Alumni interested in being a source of information about their career would need to provide their name, phone number, e-mail and alternate contact information to the alumni association. If you would like to help with this project please contact David Freer at 859-781-5987 or e-mail him with your information at defreer@aol.com.

It has been a long-standing goal of the Highlands High School Alumni Association to reach a membership level of 1,000 members. One of the ways we decided to help with this was to conduct a telephone campaign that reached out to Highlands graduates. We had a limited amount of success, but we have had some graduates join due to this campaign.  If you know of any Highlands graduate that would like to join or renew their membership. Click on the link below and print out a copy of our membership form. You can then have them fill it out and send it to us with their dues.

We would like to use this web site to assist you in your class reunions. Please let us know when you are planning them, who to contact, etc. We will post them on our site to help reach your classmates. If you are searching for lost classmates you would like to attend let us know. We may be able to help find them using the web site.

Also once the reunion is over send us a story and digital pictures if you can. We will try to use as much as we can on this site. Just click on the link below to e-mail information.
